Can I hook up a car speaker to a home stereo?

Question:
I have a home stereo and I now need new cheap speakers, I was wondering if I hooked up car speakers that I have to the stereo if they would work. Thank you.


Answer: Yes they would work as long as you ensure that your amplifier supports the impedance of the car speakers. However they will not sound anywhere near as good as most low end speakers unless you got some kind of box for them.
