Would a new head unit for my 1997 infiniti i30 be able to power all 6 of my factory bose speakers?
Question:
I want to get a nicer hd radio head unit, possibly a touch screen, but all the head units ive looked at are only 4 channels running 50 watts. How or Can any of these head units power the 6 speakers i have, and would it even be powerful enough because 50 watts sounds like it wouldn't be enough to power them?
One more quick question would my factory bose speakers be compatible with a new head unit?
Answer: Watts -power is the least of your worries. Power will be fine.
Problem is: impedance - Most car audio is 4ohms... Whereas Bose is the only company that uses 1-2ohms... Y?? Cuz they do not want to be interchangable with aftermarket parts.
